Erucic acid amide, as an important derivative of erucic acid, is an excellent fine chemical product with a wide range of applications. Because of its high melting point and good thermal stability (stable at 273 ℃), it is mainly used as anti adhesion agent and smoothing agent of various plastics and resins, excellent lubricant and antistatic agent of extruded film.

1. Product characteristics:

Erucic acid amide is synthesized under atmospheric pressure with erucic acid and ammonia as raw materials and under the catalysis of rare earth metal compounds. This product is a powder or small bead white color solid, non-toxic and odorless. Insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol, ether, ester, ketone, benzene and other organic solvents. The product has been tested by SGS and certified by FDA. It complies with the EU ROHS environmental protection directive and can be used in food and drug packaging materials.
2. Application:
(1) Plastic processing
1.1 For transparent rigid PVC film or sheet, organotin (tin mercaptan) is usually added as stabilizer, and the melt added with organotin has strong adhesion bias. In order to control its adhesion, amide smoothing agents such as erucic acid amide, oleic acid amide, stearic acid amide and ethylene bis-stearamide (EBS) must be added;
1.2 In the production of LDPE (low density polyethylene) and LLDPE (linear low density polyethylene) films, under high shear speed, it can effectively prevent the rupture of the melt, endow the finished products with excellent opening, smoothness, brightness, antistatic and anti viscosity, effectively prevent the adhesion between thin films, significantly reduce the dynamic and static friction coefficient of the product surface and reduce the accumulation of dust on the film surface, Moreover, it not only improves the workability and packaging efficiency, but also improves the waterproof and moisture-proof performance of the film. It is proposed to use it together with talc powder and other powders for better effect. Especially suitable for AUTO packaging film, liquid packaging film and agricultural film;
1.3 In CPP (polypropylene casting film), it can effectively prevent the adhesion of products, improve the smoothness of products and the feeling of smooth hand touch, facilitate the smooth extraction of the film from the roll, and can also be used together with calcium stearate and silicon dioxide;
1.4 It is used in Po transparent and breathable granular materials (films) such as disposable tablecloths, disposable bed sheets, disposable children’s diapers, fresh-keeping film of vegetables and fruits, cargo packaging and covering film, and plays the role of smoothness, opening, anti adhesion and anti-static;
1.5 It is used as a smoothing agent, brightener and anti adhesion agent for fruit net cover (foamed PE), degradation film (sheet), PP corrugated porous material film (sheet), breathable and permeable film (sheet);
1.6 It is used as the opening agent and smoothing agent of HDPE (high density polyethylene) packaging film. After adding, the film becomes uniform in thickness and smooth on the surface to prevent wrinkles on the film surface;

1.7 It is used as the most ideal smoothing, opening and anti adhesion agent for thin films and gums such as IPP (impact resistant modified polypropylene), EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer), EEA (ethylene ethyl acrylate copolymer), PA (polyamide);

1.10 It is used as opening agent, smoothing agent, anti adhesion agent and antistatic agent for PS (polystyrene) film or sheet;
1.11 in order to make the friction coefficient of composite film (such as transparent PP composite film and PP pearlescent film) lower than 0.4, a smoothing agent (oleic acid amide or erucic acid amide) must be added. Generally, its core layer (intermediate layer) should be added to make it migrate to the surface;
1.12 it is used as a smoothing, opening and anti adhesion additive for ternary copolymer film;
1.13 PP blown film has high requirements for smoothness, so the selection of smoothness agent is very important. In the actual production process, erucic acid amide and oleic acid amide can be used together to achieve the ideal effect;
1.14 it can accelerate the extrusion and blow molding speed, and the product surface is smooth and smooth after molding.
(2) Masterbatch
2.1 This additive is an ideal dispersant, opener, smoothing agent, brightener and lubricant for color masterbatch and functional masterbatch such as PE, PP, PVC and EVA. Its dispersion effect is better than that of common dispersants such as polyethylene wax. This additive can significantly improve the dispersion and coloring strength of Color Masterbatch, make new agents such as pigments and dyes have the best dispersion effect, significantly reduce the viscosity of masterbatch melt and effectively prevent the adhesion between particles, Because the color masterbatch contains a large number of pigments or dyes, the output will be reduced due to the increase of melt viscosity in production. If the additive is added to granulation, it can not only improve the dispersion of Color Masterbatch, but also improve its coloring strength. More importantly, it can significantly improve the output of Color Masterbatch;
2.2 It is used as dispersant, lubricant, brightener and anti adhesion agent for ABS, PP fiber masterbatch, PA fiber masterbatch, polypropylene color masterbatch and filling masterbatch, so as to improve the dispersion and coloring power of pigments and other additives, and the prepared masterbatch has smooth, bright, non binding, plump, good fluidity and no stripes;
2.3 It is used as dispersant, lubricant and brightener for new flame retardant Color Masterbatch, which can improve the mechanical properties of products, reduce the amount of flame retardant and reduce the production cost;
2.4 It is used as opening agent, smoothing agent, anti adhesion agent, brightener and dispersant of LDPE and LLDPE transparent film masterbatch (material).

(3) Others:
3.1 Disposable medical injection device has extremely high requirements for openness, strength, elasticity and surface smoothness. Therefore, fatty acid amide smoothing agent must be added to the material;
3.2 This product is added to polyolefin cable material and all plastic communication cable material, and the friction coefficient can be reduced from 0.70 to 0.16. At the same time, it can also change its colorability and the dispersion of pigment, toner and carbon black, so as to realize the high-speed extrusion of cable particles and improve the inner wall smoothness of cable protective sleeve;
3.3 Used as smoothing agent, brightener, dispersant and colorant of PVC cable material;
3.4 Used as PU (polyurethane) cable additive to increase the smoothness of cable surface and inner wall;
3.5 It is used for ABS refrigerator liner plate to increase the smoothness, brightness and lubricity of products;
3.6 It is used to produce PE and PP purified water bottle caps. Adding this product in an appropriate amount can enhance the smoothness, lubricity and surface gloss of the bottle caps;
3.7 It is used as a processing aid for PET、EVA、CPE、PA、PVDF、TPE、PPS、PPE、PC、PP-R、PPT、PPA、POE、K glue、PU、PPO、POM、PBT and other engineering plastics to improve the lubricity, brightness, viscosity resistance and dispersion of plastics;
3.8 It is used as PP non-woven fabric auxiliary, which plays the role of brightness and smoothness growth;
3.9 It is used as a smooth and bright additive for PP elastomer (for Optics);
3.10 It is used for salt bags as smoothing agent and brightener;
3.11 It is used for PP fiber material as brightener and lubricant.
