OPE wax is widely used in the plastic processing industry, especially in the hard PVC industry. Oxidized polyethylene wax introduces carboxyl and hydroxyl groups through oxidation. it can improve compatibility with PVC. Therefore, in hard PVC, it plays a role in internal and external lubrication, and the specific application characteristics are as follows:

1. Make the melt or part easy to demould
Oxidized polyethylene wax can reduce the adhesion of the melt to the metal surface of processing equipment through external lubrication, thus making it easy for the melt or workpiece to detach from the metal mold.
2. Reduce equipment wear and tear
Oxidized polyethylene wax can reduce the friction between materials and the metal surface of processing equipment through external lubrication, thus reducing the wear of the metal surface of processing equipment.

3. Increase processing and production rate
Oxidized polyethylene wax can reduce melt viscosity and improve melt fluidity through internal lubrication, thereby increasing the processing and production rate of PVC products. According to the research results, oxidized pe wax can also affect the processing and production rate of PVC products by affecting the apparent density and plasticization degree of PVC dry mixtures.
4. Reduce processing power consumption
Oxidized polyethylene wax can reduce the frictional heat generation of materials, thereby reducing the heat loss of mechanical forces and thus reducing the power consumption of product processing.

5. Optimize the mechanical properties of products
The mechanical properties (strength, hardness, toughness) of PVC products can only reach the optimal value at an appropriate plasticization degree. Oxidized polyethylene wax is an effective plasticizing control agent. Therefore, reasonable use can optimize the mechanical properties of PVC products.
