1. Melting method
Heat and melt the solvent in a closed and high-pressure container, and then discharge the material under appropriate cooling conditions to obtain the finished product; The disadvantages are that the quality is not easy to control, the operation cost is high and dangerous, and some waxes are not suitable for this method.
2. Emulsification method
Fine and round particles can be obtained, which is suitable for aqueous systems, but the added surfactant will affect the water resistance of the film.
3. Dispersion method
Add wax to tree wax / solution and disperse it by ball mill, roller or other dispersion equipment. The disadvantage is that it is difficult to obtain high-quality products and high cost.
4. Micronization method
This method is formed by the collision between raw waxes to gradually form small particles, and then screened by centrifugal force according to the quality difference, and finally collected. This is also the most widely used production method at present.
The general manufacturing methods of polyethylene wax include high-pressure and low-pressure polymerization. The wax obtained under high pressure has branched chain and low melting point. Although the wax obtained under low pressure is relatively hard, it is slightly inferior in smoothness. Polyethylene wax is generally produced by high-pressure and low-pressure polymerization; The density and melting temperature of Polyethylene Wax Tape branch chain prepared by high pressure method are low, while straight chain low specific gravity wax can be prepared by low pressure method; Polyethylene wax has various densities. For example, for non-polar polyethylene wax prepared by low-pressure method, the low-density one is usually harder and has better wear resistance and scratch resistance, but it is slightly worse in slip and reducing friction coefficient.
Among them, oxidized polyethylene wax is obtained by oxidation of polyethylene wax. Most of polyethylene wax and oxidized polyethylene wax are obtained by deep cracking and oxidation of high-pressure low-density polyethylene. Its molecular weight is 1000-3000, so it is also called low molecular weight polyethylene and low molecular weight oxidized polyethylene. Its shape can be made into block, sheet and powder according to needs, and its color is mostly white or light yellow.
