1. Higher thermal stability

Polyethylene wax needs to have good thermal stability. If its gasification composition is

decomposed, it will have bad effect on color masterbatch and products, Some burning point

materials, such as paraffin wax after thermogravimetric test at 200 °C, paraffin wax will lose

weight within 4 minutes of 10% , and 10 minutes of weight loss will reach more than 20%.

Therefore, some cheap polyethylene will add some paraffin wax and other low-molecular-

weight materials, which will have a certain impact on the color masterbatch and the quality

of post-processing products.

2. The right molecular weight

With the increase of molecular weight, the dispersibility of wax to pigment is improved

gradually. For the production of color masterbatch, polyethylene wax with molecular weight

of 3000 is suitable.

3. Narrow molecular weight distribution

The molecular weight distribution has certain influence on the dispersion of polyethylene

wax, and the wax with narrow molecular weight distribution has better dispersion than that

with broad molecular weight distribution.
