Product classification:
1. Low molecular wax
Low molecular wax is a series of oligomers with different properties, which is made of various polyethylene (homopolymer or copolymer), polypropylene, polystyrene or other polymer modified materials by cracking and oxidation.
Its main products include homopolymer, oxidized homopolymer, ethylene acrylic acid copolymer, ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer and low molecular ionomer. Polyethylene wax is the most commonly used.
2. Fatty acids, aliphatic amides and esters
The combination of stearamide and higher alcohol can improve the lubricity and thermal stability. The dosage (mass fraction, the same below) is 0.3% – 0.8%. It can also be used as a lubricant for polyolefins; Hexenyl distearamide, also known as ethylene distearamide, is a high melting point lubricant with an dosage of 0.5% ~ 2%; Monoglyceride stearate,Glyceryl tristearate; The dosage of oleoyl is 0.2% ~ 0.5%; Hydrocarbon paraffin solid, melting point 57 ~ 70 ℃, insoluble in water, soluble in organic solvents, poor dispersion, compatibility and thermal stability in the resin, and the dosage is generally less than 0.5%.
3. Paraffin wax
Although paraffin is an external lubricant, it is a non-polar straight chain hydrocarbon, which can not wet the metal surface, that is, it can not prevent PVC and other resins from adhering to the metal wall. It can play a synergistic effect only when it is used in combination with stearic acid and calcium stearate.
Liquid paraffin: the freezing point is – 15-35 ℃. During extrusion and injection molding, it has poor compatibility with resin, and the addition amount is generally 0.3% – 0.5%. If it is too much, it will deteriorate the processing performance.
Microcrystalline paraffin: it is obtained from petroleum refining process. Its relative molecular weight is large and there are many isomers. The melting point is 65-90 ℃. It has good lubricity and thermal stability, but poor dispersion. The dosage is generally 0.1% – 0.2%. It is best to be used together with butyl stearate and higher fatty acids. ope wax
4. Metal soaps
Metal salts of higher fatty acids, called metal soaps, such as barium stearate, are suitable for a variety of plastics with an dosage of about 0.5%; Zinc stearate is suitable for polyolefin, ABS, etc., with the dosage of 0.3%; Calcium stearate is suitable for general plastics and external lubrication, with the dosage of 0.2% – 1.5%; Other stearic acid soaps such as cadmium stearate, magnesium stearate and copper stearate.
